- We will check for rot, borers, leaks, cracks, dampness and pests in all accessible areas
- We will give you a summary of all defects we find
- We will advise you on problems that may need urgent attention or investigation by appropriate professionals
- We will be available to go through the report with you personally and make sure you understand everything.
What is a pre-purchase inspection?
It is a visual inspection and assessment of each of the following areas:
- The interior
- The exterior
- The roof space
- The under floor space
- The roof exterior
- The site, outbuildings and fencing
Choosing an inspector
Are they a fully licensed builder in that state, who has Professional Indemnity insurance for Pre-purchase inspections?
Are they a full time inspector?
Do they send you an engagement agreement prior to the inspection?
Do they have experience and knowledge of the building type and location?
If the answer is no to any of these questions you should reconsider your choice.
How much will it cost?
For unit inspections we have a flat rate of $400 including GST
For other buildings we have a fee of $440 including GST up to 120m2, then $10 including GST per 10m2 thereafter
Reports on multiple dwellings or properties outside a 40km radius of Launceston City will be negotiated
